Yesterday Mark wrote about the garden being before the snow falls, well this morning like much of the country it fell, so I guess the title of this blog wrote itself.
Looking out of the front of our house, and the world is now all white, being on a side road we tend not to see much through traffic so the road usually remains fairly snowy and then icy in cold weather.
The view from the back of the house is pretty much the same!
Taking a walk down the garden and the snow is pretty much untouched, we tend to knock it off plants to avoid the weight damaging stems etc. Fortunately the majority of the plants still out at this time of the year are hardy enough for a little snow.
The walk way though the garden has quite a full canopy an not much snow made it to the ground.
Temperatures were rising by mid afternoon and much of the snow in the trees was melting. But by nightfall cold temperatures had returned, fortunately we are anticipating warmer temperatures in the next few days, so it shouldn't last for long.

Wow! How long has it been since you had this much snow?
ReplyDeleteSince the winter before last, early 2019
DeleteBeautiful. Do you get that much snow often? I've only seen snow in person a handful of times in my life so that looks like a LOT to me.
ReplyDeleteNot that often, last winter we didn’t get any snow
DeleteWow, looks like you got the snow they were saying we might get, thanks for taking it!
ReplyDeleteHaha you’re welcome! Just hope this dusting won’t last for days...
