The UK has a bit of a cold spell at the moment, although fortunately not too cold - about 3C this morning. Despite the cold it was a bright day in the garden to I took advantage and went out with the camera.
Blue sky almost makes it feel like spring is here. |

Despite the intense cold (I can hardly imagine 37F!), your tropical garden looks healthy and happy. The cats do too. Twinkles was signalling that she (he?) was ready for her (his?) close-up!
ReplyDeleteReally pleased with the way it looks even in the depths of winter :)
DeleteWe've had a relatively mild winter here and no freezes are predicted for the rest of February so I think we can say goodbye to winter! Your garden certainly looks lush, green, and ready for spring.
ReplyDeleteThat sounds wonderful! Wish we can say the same here but springs just around the corner now...
DeleteLike Peter we are saying goodbye to winter here in Northern California as well .70 degrees in February is a bit disturbing, but it definitely enhances the weed-pulling experience. The Jungle Hut looks splendid !
ReplyDeleteLucky you guys :))
DeleteBlue skies are very energising, wish we had more of them! Even strolling around with your camera counts as 'gardening' as I'm sure you were noting what needs to be done on the next slightly warmer day. My patch is not looking nearly as lush as yours so wrapping up warm and digging up plants, weeding or moving pots has been keeping me warm outside.
ReplyDeleteAt least the blue skies help :) not long now till spring!
DeleteGiven that real temperatures can’t be conveyed through the medium of a blog your pictures transported me straight to the tropics! Lovely to see. Wrap up guys, it’s going to get colder.
ReplyDeleteHope this cold spell doesn’t last long!
DeleteLike everyone else, I can't believe that these photos were taken in winter. There is an astonishing amount of greenery in your garden! Has it snowed with you yet - or is it your turn tomorrow?
ReplyDeleteWe’ve had several bouts but thankfully none lasted :)
DeleteHard to believe that it's still only February when looking at all the lush leafiness. That large blue pot looks fabulous. Is there anything planted in it?
ReplyDeleteOne in the pic doesn’t have any planted yet but might rectified come spring!
DeleteLooks pristine and not much tidying to do so plenty of time for you to go travelling (again)
ReplyDeleteYep before we get busy for spring :)
DeleteWow, the Jungle Hut has really developed into a tropical retreat! Your garden looks lush and fully developed. In that second picture from the top: the bamboo to the left of the blue pot looks a lot like an indigenous inhabitant of the tropics! I see a long neck, a face with nose, mouth, eyes and a headless of bamboo leaves! Is this just my imagination, or does it look like that in real life?
ReplyDeleteOops, that should be headress of bamboo leaves!
