RHS Hampton Court Flower Show 2016 - Floral Marquee

The 2016 edition of the RHS Hampton Court Flower Show opens today. Set in the sprawling grounds of Hampton Court Palace, it is the biggest flower show in the world with its many features and opportunities for shopping: food, sundries, and of course plants.



It's an inspiring, highly entertaining garden show with a festive and relaxed atmosphere! 

 We had a chance to have a look around yesterday before it officially opened and here are a few snippets of this year's show, looking first into the exhibits in the Floral Marquee.

    So much to love! Was the Delphinium and tuberous Begonia display from Blackmore and Langdon? I have some of their begonias that are just starting to bloom. Oh my, those symmetrical cacti displays are fab. A visit here would be dangerous for my wallet. Can't wait to see what you brought home.

      Hi Peter, yes they are :) the plant shopping there is really good! Although saying that, we only bought a couple of plants.

    The displays in the floral marquee are always so well done. Amazed by all the Spanish Moss on display. So many old-fashioned flowers are becoming popular again too.

    Oh, sigh ... begonias and dahlias and lilies, all my favorites that UK does so well. Whatever else happens to poor Little Britain, I hope it continues to produce beautiful gardens. I'm with Kris, I want to be reincarnated as a small-time British gardener.

    Your photos have taken me right back there! There were, indeed, many tempting plants to buy and lots of planting inspiration. Lovely how the hall is so empty in your photos - it won't be like that for long this week! Great to see you both again! Cx
