Plants, Parcels.... and a Film Crew?

Last summer we ordered a selection of plants from Crug Farm, nothing unusual in that I hear you say. Well not quite, the order and delivery were fairly standard... apart from everything from the order, selection and delivery was filmed for an upcoming BBC TV Show.

The new series of Modern Times, continues next week (BBC Thursday 12 February at 9pm) with 24 Hour Parcel People. Ahead of that showing the BBC have released a clip of the show.

We wont say any more until the show, don't want to give away any spoilers...

  1. It's pretty exciting to see a garden in person that you've only ever seen photographed before -- like Loree's garden in Portland last summer -- but seeing it on TV (or TV alternative) might be even more exciting! There are the blue pots in front... and the koi pond... and the white, white sunroom! Yay! :D

    1. Seeing the clip this afternoon was the first time we caught glimpse of some of the footage they have taken of us and the garden. It was a wonderful experience taking part in the show. Looking forward to seeing the full episode ourselves Alan :)

  2. Homage to the box is a very blogger thing to do. It was fun to see you two in action and the garden in video looking so lush. I remember you posting about the delivery but not about the show.

    1. I'm glad you took note of that Shirley :) they know we're bloggers and that has a great influence on our behaviour when receiving a parcel. We had to keep quiet about the show hence didn't mention it when we made 'that' post.

  11. Brilliant! I am SO pleased you talk to your plants too! It's fab to see summer and the garden and to hear you two chatting. Marvellous. I think all our plant deliveries should have a film crew in tow.

  12. Saw this first thing this morning and it really made me smile. Love your reaction when the parcel arrived - that would have been mine too! (Especially a parcel from Crug Plants!) I was just scrolling through the other comments when I saw Sarah's comment - just what I was thinking! I love that you talk to your plants too - and that you took a pic through the handle hole to send to Gaz - that's just so sweet! Lovely to see you both 'on telly', will look out for the prog when it's aired. Caro x

  15. That was a really great little clip; bet it took ages to film. It was nice to put faces to names; blogging creates a strange situation where I feel I know you but have never met you! Will now watch the whole show avidly! Helen
