I intend to move my pond down the garden by 10 feet so I can make a bigger sun area as there is too much shade at the moment.
ReplyDeleteI have liked, tweeted and shared via G+ too!
ReplyDeleteFeed the lawn, turn the soil and weed ready for the veg, plant some seeds in my conservatory
ReplyDeleteI am going to dig over where I had compost heap and get it ready for vegetables hopefully years compost has been there has fed the soil and I wont have to dig some in
ReplyDeleteHad 2 60ft trees blow down in the Valentine's Day storm so it's really a case of starting again in what was a fairly pretty average sized garden No one project but a major one unfortunately. Still that's nature for you....
ReplyDeleteI've already started off some herb seeds as the weather's been good, and hoping to plant a lot of vegetable seeds in the next two months, plus getting my lawn back into a good state!
ReplyDeleteI would give this prize to my mum who wants to start a compost when the weather picks up, she loves gardening and is out in the garden all day long weather permitting!
ReplyDeleteI plan to build some cold frames, prune the fruit trees (pronto) and give the place a general tidy up. Also planning on making some decorative planters and some bird feeding stations.
ReplyDeleteMy garden is in need of some love and care. The lawn has large bare patches so my main job will be to reseed.
ReplyDeleteReplacing fence panels and ornate arch which were blown down in the recent high winds :-(
ReplyDeleteI need to treat my lawn. It was beautiful but the winter has made it look very unloved and also hoping to get a greenhouse, I had one years ago and saved a fortune on flowers and veg.
ReplyDeleteWe are planning on planting a bee-friendly border in our new home
ReplyDeleteWeed seed and mosskill on the lawn.
ReplyDeleteWe have planted a few seeds, so hopefully will be able to grow some chillies and tomatoes in our greenhouse.
ReplyDeleteAlso, hoping this year to finally get an area beside a curved wall dug out, slabs laid along opposite border, replanted and stones put down to prevent weeds.
The garden here was in a state of neglect when we moved in and we are slowly, but surely attempting to tackle another area each year.
Great competition, so fingers crossed. Could do with some new tools and another composter wouldn't go a miss. :)

We moved into our new home in September so have barely looked at the garden, we started this week though! xx Lots to do xx
ReplyDeleteA composting area would be good - if I had the time and materials I would build a wooden composter, so this prize would be a godsend and allow me to concentrate more on rotating my small veg patch for potatoes. Planting to commence soon, I hope, for french beans, tomatoes, salad veg, herbs and strawberries as a good starting point.

ReplyDeleteI really need to sort out the weeds that have taken over my patio!
ReplyDeleteMy little fledgling is leaving the nest and making her own - But her back garden is an overgrown jungle so our spring is going to be spent there - Any help would be so much appreciated :)
ReplyDeleteI have a 20 x 12 foot' pop up swimming pool, lying unused in the shed.
ReplyDeleteI'm going to turn it into an aquaponics system.
This is a self substainging system, where the fish waste feeds the plants, and the plants feed the fish.
I intend on digging over the veg patch
ReplyDeletemaking a wee plot for potatoes ,veg etc

ReplyDeleteReplacing our back fence, the old one is knackered
ReplyDeleteI plan to rearrange and enlarge the flower borders
ReplyDeleteWe have a really exciting year ahead having just moved into a new house with a large garden. It had been previously owned by some keen gardeners, but the garden was untended and overgrown for the last 5 years or so.
ReplyDeleteSo we are trying to clear all the dead plants away and uncover the 100s of bulbs which are springing up all over the garden.
Once we know what we have, we can plan a whole new garden scheme.
Tip out all the compost from all the pots as we had a few nasties in them last year!

ReplyDeleteNeed to tidy the garden after winter, clearing up the plant beds, cutting back anything that needs it, plant some spring flowers to get some colour in the garden
ReplyDeleteOnce the allotment is less waterlogged it needs to be totally cleared from what was left at the end of last season, the green manure sections dug in and planted up with potatoes firstly. Still too wet to do anything though :-(
ReplyDeleteHave already had to replace fence panels which has taken time and they were where we were going to train wisteria so that's one of the next jobs. Before all the bad weather we bought a small green house to grow veg and flower seed so that needs establishing and a compost bin wd be great addition. Tweeted comp @egran2many
ReplyDeleteTook some large trees out in the front of the garden but now need to add some bushes and smaller trees
ReplyDeleteputting a fence up

ReplyDeleteFirst thing I need to do is turn the compost heap so that I can get to the good stuff at the bottom
ReplyDeleteAs the kids and me had a fantastic time last year growing our own veg so this year were going bigger so that means taking up a large section of turf (will be stacking that up at the end of the garden for wildlife to hide) and turning the soil over a few times ready to plant this spring.

ReplyDeleteI'm planning on planting out some potatoes!
ReplyDeleteThis year we are making some raised beds for veggies, i am planting another couple of fruit trees, moving some perennials as the border needs a good going over to remove the grass that has appeared and the brambles. Its very hard at moment due to so much rain, before my home was built in the early 50s there was a natural little stream that ran through the area and every winter it reappears through my back garden so its more of a swamp til may/june time. My greenhouse needs some work as the winds and cold have made it very brittle. so this year lots of things needing doing but i am so looking forward to getting out in the garden and watching nature take hold in the way she does with amazing flowers and veggies that spring to life from a tiny little seed.
