This gardening blog follows our journey as we create our Tropical and Exotic themed garden. We hope you'll enjoy the journey as much as we do. We started our Exotic Garden in 2005 and this site will show its development, as well as our travels, both abroad and within the UK to gardens, nurseries and friends. See also our full about page
I used to dislike hostas - found them too clumpy. Now, I'm jealous of anyone who is able to grow them without holes.

Hi Esther, 'Sum and Substance' seems to be one of the Hostas that are resistant to slugs and snails (in here at least). Give it another try :)
ReplyDeleteHostas do not feature greatly in Australia, but always admire them in my son's garden in the U.S. when I visit.
ReplyDeleteSo thick, so lush, so beautiful! Hostas really do add a lot to the landscape with their fullness and textures.
ReplyDeleteFabulous plants and thanks for educating me with the correct name. I always called it Sun and Substance. lol
